Michael Roth on Manbassadors Panel at 3% Conference

Michael Roth joined fellow ‪#‎manbassadors‬ on stage at the 3 Percent Conference to discuss diversity and inclusion, and championing women leaders.

The panel highlighted men who champion women and apply gender intelligence into the workplace. These Manbassadors talked about how they run their agencies to be better for everyone. The panel was moderated by Meredith Levien, Chief Revenue Officer of The New York Times and included Shelley Zalis, founder of The Girls Lounge, Bruce Henderson, Chief Creative Officer, Jack Morton Worldwide, Courtney Buechert, Chief Executive Officer, Eleven Inc. and Max Rutherford, Partner Diversity Director, GSD&M.

Michael discussed how IPG was the first in our sector to tie senior-level compensation to our diversity goals, further evidence that Diversity and inclusion (D&I) is a top priority for us.

To better understand how companies can open the C-Suite door wider to women and thereby take advantage of the diverse perspectives that female leaders bring to their organizations, Weber Shandwick and KRC Research sponsored a survey conducted by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) titled Gender Equality in the Executive Ranks: A Paradox — The Journey to 2030. The survey was conducted among 327 executives from 55 markets worldwide.

Becoming a Person of Influence

On September 30th, the Omaha chapter of Women’s Leadership Network sponsored a motivational luncheon featuring keynote speaker, Jamie Hansen. Hansen presented “Becoming a Person of Influence,” a talk about being a leader in various areas of life, no matter your title in an organization. The group of 45 female employees participated in a self-reflective exercise which encouraged inspiration, motivation and challenged participants to rethink their personal strength, attitude and life perspectives.
