Vision 2020

Dallas WLN hosted our Vision 2020 event. Twenty-one employees from Golin, Weber, and Octagon came together to discuss how to create effective goals, and create 2020 vision boards for our workspaces. We had great conversations around setting intentions and keeping goals top of mind for the entire year.

The UBS "Own Your Worth" presentation focused on taking control of your financial wellness by identifying goals and developing a manageable plan to achieve long-term success.

Female Founders Panel: Advice and Inspiration

On Monday, September 23rd, the WLN Boston chapter hosted “Female Founders Panel: Advice and Inspiration” at Hill Holliday. The event featured three inspiring Boston-based female founders - Farrah Belizaire of LiteWork Events, Jess Fracalossi of The Handle Bar, and Cayla Marvil of Lamplighter Brewing Co. - and was moderated by our very own co-chair Meghan Dillon.

Topics included the founders’ entrepreneurial journeys and how they built a business from the ground up, how they’ve conquered roadblocks as female-founded businesses, and how they maintain the strength of their businesses. About 60 people from Weber Shandwick, Mullen, and Hill Holliday attended, and guests were given the opportunity to network before and after the panel, while enjoying some beverages and post-work bites!

Women Leading IPG Forward

On August 22nd, the Women’s Leadership Network in Los Angeles hosted “Leading IPG Forward.” The event featured a panel discussion moderated by President of Rogers & Cowan/PMK-BNC and LA WLN Chair, Shirley Hughes along with guest speakers from Rogers & Cowan, Rufus, and UM. The panel of powerful women discussed their journeys, stories, and experiences as women in their careers, their personal lives, and the work they do for their clients. More than 60 guests attended across six different agencies who had the opportunity to ask questions and hear advice on best practices and moving their careers forward.

 

 

Work that Champions Inclusivity

Initiative APAC Chief Strategy Officer Matt Scotton and Regional Strategic Planning Director Jasmine Wong were our special guest speakers for the Women Leadership Network post-Cannes event, “Work that Champions Inclusivity.” During the session, our 30 attendees were taken through a presentation of the best campaigns from 2019 Cannes Festival of Creativity that showcased a key emerging theme of advocating and supporting diversity and inclusivity.
