Namita from Nami Yoga Studio as the guest speaker to talk about the importance
of breathing and how yoga is a lifestyle followed by a 30-minute yoga session
to relieve stress.

WLN Japan Promoted #BreakThe Bais on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2022

On March 8, International Women’s Day, WLN Japan hosted an online event under the 2022 IWD theme #BreakTheBias with a panel discussion on ways to eliminate bias to realize an even better workplace with panelists from Mediabrands, McCann and MRM . The key learnings were that it is most important to become aware of the "biases" that exist within the company and society, for each one of us to take small actions to break through these biases, and most importantly, to "talk" with our superiors, subordinates, and teams, and to "create an environment where we can openly talk about the biases." Over 250 members from 10 different IPG agencies including Weber Shandwick and MullenLowe and Mediabrands attended.

WLN Japan Celebrate International Women's Day

WLN Japan hosted an online #IWD2021 event on March 10th, inviting two ex-McCann women who had continued to pursue their profession in their respective creative fields after leaving McCann; Ms. Masako Imai, TV scenario writer, and Ms. Misaki Matsui, photographer. They each shared their experience, the challenges they faced as they pursued their profession.

Celebrate Your Right to Vote: The Path to Women’s Equality

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing and protecting women's constitutional right to vote, the New York chapter of IPG's Women's Leadership Network (WLN NY) hosted a discussion with featured speakers from Google, on the importance of this milestone of democracy and to explore its relevance to the issues of equal rights today.

Changing the Status Quo: Gender Bias in Media and Entertainment

In recognition of Women’s Equality Day on August 26th, 2020, the Los Angeles Chapters of MERGE and the Women’s Leadership Network hosted a panel discussion exploring representation and inclusion in the entertainment and media industries. The discussion was led by Sarah Robertson, President, Rufus. She was joined by Madeline DiNonno, Chief Executive Officer of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, and thought leaders from across IPG agencies, Dawn Reese, SVP Managing Director UM Studios, Stephen Macias EVP Multicultural Marketing and Communications Rogers & Cowan, Ingrid Smart, President/CEO Casanova.

Dallas WLN hosted our Vision 2020 event. Twenty-one employees from Golin, Weber, and Octagon came together to discuss how to create effective goals, and create 2020 vision boards for our workspaces. We had great conversations around setting intentions and keeping goals top of mind for the entire year.
