heimann-gail_2012-21Weber Shandwick today announced that Gail Heimann has been named President and Chief Strategy Officer of the firm. Heimann is an 18-year Weber Shandwick veteran with extensive experience building some of the world’s top global brands.

Heimann retired the tag to launch the Hanes Tagless T-Shirt, floated a three-story Lady Liberty M&M in New York Harbor to kick off the “Liberate Your Inner M&M” campaign, built the face of Colonel Sanders in the Nevada desert to make KFC the first brand visible from outer space (by satellite) and put a suite of premium European-designed Electrolux appliances in its own suite on the QM2 to herald the brand’s introduction to the North American market.

In her new role, Heimann will have overarching responsibility for working with practice leaders and their teams to continue to transform and drive innovation throughout the firm’s specialties, products and services.

Heimann was Chief Judge of the PR Jury at Cannes Lions last year, and is recognized in the industry – and by her teams and clients – as one of the leading creative and strategic thinkers in the marketing services industry.
