The New York chapter of the Women’s Leadership Network presents Find Your Mentor Through Creativity + Media on Thursday, January 30th from 5:45-8pm at BPN (100 W. 33rd St, 10th Floor, New York, NY). To shine light on National Mentoring Month, the New York chapter of the Women’s Leadership Network is hosting a group mentoring program.  Mentors from the creative and media disciplines will speak about their careers, experiences and the industry.  If you have ever thought about these disciplines, work with them closely or are currently in them, this program is for you. The night will include an art gallery of creative work presented by McCann, mentoring sessions and will end with a networking reception.

Ji Young Kim

Ji Young KimJi Young Kim is tasked with integrating emerging industry trends in mobile to proactively develop new capabilities for all Ansible and Mediabrands clients. She brings over a decade of experience leading cross-functional marketing and technology teams in promoting new offerings in the digital and mobile space.

Prior to Ansible Mobile, Ji Young served as Vice President of Marketing for Vettro, a leading enterprise mobile application provider, where she led product and corporate marketing programs since the company’s inception and established preferred co-marketing relationships with major mobile carriers, OEM, and ISV partners. Previously, Ji Young held senior Planning and New Business roles at Stein Rogan + Partners, where she managed several emerging brand launches.

 

Costanza Peuriot
SVP, Global Marketing & Expansion, BPNCostanza Peuriot

Constanza (Coni) is in charge of expanding all marketing efforts across the BPN network, generating growth opportunities, and seeking and supporting regional and global new business pitches. She also works in coordination with the IPG Mediabrands Communications team to keep consistency and continue to develop the reputation of the BPN brand across the network.

Having worked across different disciplines that range from marketing coordination to roles in business development, Constanza brings broad in-depth knowledge to her role in addition to a proven ability to work closely together and organize the worldwide network to deliver the innovative solutions in line with the BPN offering.

Prior to joining BPN, Constanza spent the last 5 years in New York working at MPG, the largest media agency of Havas Media, working in the global new business department and heading the Global Marketing team. Constanza has an international background and holds a dual degree in International Business from ICADE University in Spain and Northeastern University in Boston.

Kandace Hudspeth

Kandace is both the founder and the leader of McCann Always On (MAO), launched in March 2012 with the aim of meeting the emergent industry demand for always-on brand building and content solutions. She describes McCann Always On as a group of insatiably curious creative thinkers and problem solvers who help brands discover actionable insights from existing consumer behavior across the social web and turn those insights into creative content opportunities. The group’s success is reflected in its portfolio of work across 15+ brands for such key clients as General Mills and Nestle, the growth of the MAO staff from 3 to over 25 and expansion to major markets, and MAO’s capture of over a dozen significant industry awards including two Silver Cannes Lions. In 2013 alone, the New York Times has devoted three separate ad columns to MAO’s work.

Kandace is a unique breed of strategist, skilled in the development of breakthrough communications and in leveraging digital channels to integrate brands deeply into social environments. She joined McCann in 2011 as Executive Strategy Partner-Creative Technology, from Euro RSCG 4D (now Havas) where she led digital and social strategy for that agency’s global IBM business. Previously, she was New York-based Director of Digital Strategy & User Experience Planning at MRM Worldwide, a McCann Worldgroup company, where she developed the company’s social marketing offering and served as senior strategic planner for both Intel and the U.S. Army. Earlier, she was a Strategic Planner with iCrossing.

 

Sharon Panelo
Senior Strategist, McCann Always On

Sharon PaneloSharon is Senior Strategist and one of the founding members of McCann Always On (MAO), the social media and content strategy unit of McCann New York. She currently leads strategy across multiple CPG brand portfolios for the group’s largest client, General Mills, Inc. Her award-winning social good campaigns – Million Hoodies for Trayvon Martin, and LuckyToBe (a 2013 LGBT campaign for Lucky Charms) — have been featured in the New York Times and Huffington Post (and even by Perez Hilton).

Awards include two Cannes Silver Lions, a Gold Andy Award and most recently, top honors at the Multicultural Awards competition sponsored by the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), not only winning in 3 Category Divisions, but also capturing the Grand Prize in both the Digital and LGBT divisions. Previously, Sharon was a trends writer for JWT Intelligence and before that, a research associate at Audience Theory, informing brand strategies for Viacom/MTV, AMC Networks, and Spike TV.
