On Sunday, October 15th, the IPG Women's Leadership Network NY Chapter participated in The American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Central Park. Mentorship “Champion” Circles

The Los Angeles chapter of IPG’s Women’s Leadership Network (WLN) is proud to share the success of its Mentorship “Champion” Circles, which began in 2015 and is currently in its third cycle of the program. The circles are a group mentoring format and run for six months with monthly in-person meetings. They have over 100 participants and are led by mentors who are senior leaders from various LA-based IPG agencies, including Deutsch, Initiative, Golin-Harris, UM, PMK:BNC, Orion, Weber-Shandwick, Mullen Lowe, RG/A, Frukt, Rapport, and Rogers & Cowan. They are designed to support IPG’s objective of supporting a mentorship culture throughout all its agencies and to advocate IPG women in career-building, leadership and management skills training, work:life balance, and agency collaboration opportunities.Read more

WLN NY Hosts The Young Women's Leadership School of Astoria's Tech Explorers

On July 21st, the WLN NY chapter hosted a working session for the The Young Women’s Leadership School of Astoria’s Tech Explorers, a summer program for girls aged 12-17 who are interested in technology. The program aims to provide exposure to technology/coding, graphic design and film-making for female students from underserved communities, and to give them the opportunity to explore New York City’s technology community. These young women have spent the summer developing their own apps, and they used yesterday's session to work with women from across IPG agencies to continue to develop and refine their ideas.

WLN Singapore Partnered With SheSays and See It Be It For An Evening of Cannes Insights

The WLN Singapore chapter hosted a summer event on July 19th titled, 'Women Cannes' Lah!,' a play on words building on a popular Singaporean expression "Can-lah" which means "yes, absolutely." The event was in partnership with SheSays Singapore, a wider industry group for women in the creative industries, and 'See It Be It', the Cannes Lions program launched as a response to the gender imbalance in our industry.Read more

Women’s Leadership Network-Los Angeles chapter attended the July 19th "It Takes a Village" event hosted by Momentum and featuring WLN-LA member, Rebecca Waits on the panel.

Lead speaker was author, Lisen Stromberg, COO of The 3% Conference, who spoke about her book "Work Pause Thrive: How to Pause for Parenthood Without Killing Your Career."

Client/Agency 101

During our chapter kick-off meeting, many of us had the opportunity to meet others from different IPG Companies around Atlanta. It was interesting that, while we had heard of our sister agencies, we were not clear about their offerings. In the spirit of education and collaboration, we asked a volunteer from each of the Atlanta agencies to share their agency's expertise and talk about their client portfolios. Learning more about each other helped identify potential client engagement with the Atlanta WLN, and explore future client and agency integration! Every IPG employee is welcome.
