In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing and protecting women’s constitutional right to vote, the New York chapter of IPG’s Women’s Leadership Network (WLN NY) hosted a discussion with featured speakers from Google, on the importance of this milestone of democracy and to explore its relevance to the issues of equal rights today.

What better way to kick off the new year than with a Financial Wellness Education Session hosted by the IPG Women’s Leadership Network!
In partnership with UBS, WLN NY hosted an in-person and national webcast to speak through one of life’s most difficult topics: Finances. The UBS “Own Your Worth” presentation focused on taking control of your financial wellness by identifying goals and developing a manageable plan to achieve long-term success.
Read moreTo wrap up another successful year, the WLN NY co-chairs hosted 24 women for an evening of networking, recruiting, and complimentary headshots courtesy of our onsite photographer. The event served as a tool for existing members to discuss 2019 opportunities with the group as well as for the leadership team to introduce interested employees to the WLN mission and offerings. The overall feedback was positive, especially the complimentary headshots.
On Sunday, October 15th, the IPG Women’s Leadership Network NY Chapter participated in The American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Central Park. The event raises money to fund innovative research, provide free information and support, and to help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it’s most treatable.Read more
On July 21st, the WLN NY chapter hosted a working session for the The Young Women’s Leadership School of Astoria’s Tech Explorers, a summer program for girls aged 12-17 who are interested in technology. The program aims to provide exposure to technology/coding, graphic design and film-making for female students from underserved communities, and to give them the opportunity to explore New York City’s technology community. These young women have spent the summer developing their own apps, and they used yesterday’s session to work with women from across IPG agencies to continue to develop and refine their ideas.

The New York Chapter of the IPG Women’s Leadership (WLN NY) hosted a special event in collaboration with Changemaker Chats showcasing Emmy-nominated filmmaker Tiffany Shlain’s critically acclaimed documentary 50/50 about the 10,000-year history of women and power. This event was part of a bigger movement of thousands of organizations across the country who viewed this mold-breaking film at the same time.Read more
