On September 21, the New York Chapter of the Women’s Leadership Network sponsored an evening with Changemaker Chat, which brings together women professionals in NYC who are working to advance positive change in their organizations and communities around the world. The series aims to connect career-driven women with other amazing women in the city, as well as learn from inspiring leaders about the issues and questions that confront women professionals.
The September chat featured Maria Eitel, President and CEO of Nike Foundation. During the chat, Maria discussed what transformed her career at Nike – taking the helm of company’s fledgling foundation and creating the Girl Effect, a global movement to highlight and support adolescent girls in unlocking their unique potential to end poverty for themselves and the world.
